Head of Estates – Care Sector
£50-60k
Travelling to various sites included (UK wide)
3 Point Recruitment are hiring an excellent Head of Estates / Estates Manager for a rapidly growing & award winning Care Home group who have a fantastic reputation!
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced estates professional to oversee a diverse portfolio of properties within the care sector. The role is focused on ensuring all environments are safe, compliant and fit for purpose, supporting the delivery of high quality, person-centered care. You will take strategic responsibility for estates operations, ensuring all sites meet regulatory standards while maintaining a high standard of functionality and comfort for residents and staff.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical knowledge and a proactive approach to managing both people and property. You will be confident managing budgets, contractors and large scale projects, while fostering a positive, solutions focused culture. A strong understanding of compliance, particularly within regulated care environments, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills, will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead estates and facilities management across multiple care settings
*Ensure full compliance with relevant care and safety regulations (including CQC standards)
*Oversee planned and reactive maintenance to ensure safe, high-quality environments
*Act as the lead for fire safety, health & safety and statutory compliance
*Manage external contractors, ensuring adherence to safeguarding and safety standards
*Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes
*Oversee capital projects including refurbishments and new developments
*Manage estates budgets, ensuring cost effective operations
*Support the development and expansion of care services through property readiness
*Maintain safe, accessible, and therapeutic outdoor spaces for residents
*Collaborate with operational teams to align estates with care delivery needs
*Lead, develop, and motivate a facilities and maintenance team
*Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice
*Ensure all work respects resident dignity, privacy and safeguarding requirements
