The Opportunity
Our client, a leading and progressive manufacturing business, is seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking Operations Manager to drive operational excellence at their state-of-the-art facility in Worcestershire.

Key Responsibilities
*Oversee all operational activities to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of products to the highest standards.
*Foster a workplace culture where safety is paramount by actively engaging with teams to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures effectively.
*Champion the continuous pursuit of operational excellence by identifying areas for improvement, eliminating inefficiencies, and embedding lean methodologies throughout the workflow.
*Support and develop your team by providing guidance, encouragement, and training opportunities to build a motivated, skilled, and high-performing workforce.
*Play a crucial role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives, including the rollout of new manufacturing technologies and digital transformation projects that enhance productivity.
*Track performance closely through key metrics related to cost management, output efficiency, and equipment utilisation, taking decisive action to meet or surpass targets.
*Collaborate regularly with senior leaders and cross-departmental teams to align operational objectives with broader business goals and ensure smooth project delivery.
*Drive innovation by leading the adoption of digital tools and systems that enable real-time monitoring of work-in-progress and resource allocation, improving decision-making across the site.
What We’re Looking For

*Proven experience in operations management within manufacturing or engineering.
*A strong track record of delivering operational improvements through lean manufacturing principles.
*Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams across all levels.
*Outstanding communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at boardroom and shop floor levels alike.
*A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
*Experience in managing complex projects, including the implementation of new processes and technologies.
*Knowledge of heavy assembly processes and operational safety standards (advantageous but not essential).
