Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Officer to join a leading national organisation. This is a full-time role focused on managing end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
Key responsibilities of the role:
*Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
*Verify and match invoices against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies promptly
*Maintain supplier relationships, handling queries and ensuring compliance with agreed payment terms
*Process staff expenses
*Assist with payment runs and ensure adherence to internal controls
*Assist with month-end processes
*Support additional finance tasks such as bank reconciliations, control account reconciliations, and other ad-hoc financial duties as required
*Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies
Ideal candidate profile:
*Proven experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance role
*Strong knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment procedures
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
*Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
*Effective communication skills for managing supplier queries and internal collaboration
Location: Central London
Hourly Rate: £23 per hour PAYE
Working hours: 35 per week
Length: 3-6 months with chance to extend
