As a medium-sized business, they offer a structured and professional working environment. They are now looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Ilkeston on a temporary basis.
Description
*Support the Transport team in delivering a safe environment for all colleagues
*Efficiently route the companies mixed fleet of vehicles
*Take calls from transport colleagues and customers and resolve any issues as and when they arise.
*Arranging the day-to-day schedules of the company fleet
*Administration of the various company systems
*Work with the Transport Supervisor to ensure all areas of legislative compliance is adhered to
*Support the Transport supervisor in ensuring all drivers hours, holidays & sickness are captured


Profile
A successful Transport Planner should have:
*Proven experience in an established transport operations role
*Highly motivated individual with the desire to make a difference
*Excellent organisation skills
*Strong IT skills on Microsoft Packages
*Geographical knowledge of UK - essential
*Excellent communication skills
*Collaboratively liaise with the sales team to improve customer experience
* Support the team to achieve the performance targets required and contributes to the achievement of service levels
Job Offer
*An annual salary of £33000 to £37000pa, depending on experience and qualifications.
*A temporary position within a well-regarded organisation in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
*9am - 5pm working hours with flexibility.
