Typical Shift Structure:
Our Registered Veterinary Nurses rotate across a five week rolling rota, two weeks includes wards, then two weeks on anaesthesia and week on medical oncology. The exact balance varies daytoday depending on caseload, but all RVNs are exposed to each area as part of the rota.
OnCall Rota:
Our oncall system is home based. Nurses are required to be available to return to the hospital if needed, but they are not required to remain onsite this would normally follow the late anaesthesia shift.
