This opportunity is with a well-established intellectual property practice with a strong reputation in brand protection and trade mark portfolio management. The firm works with a wide range of clients, from growing businesses through to established international brands, providing practical and commercially focused IP support.

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trade Mark Paralegal to join a busy and fast-paced IP support function. The role will focus on end-to-end trade mark administration and prosecution support, with regular client contact and involvement in both UK and international portfolios.
You will be working closely with attorneys and other support staff to ensure smooth management of filings, deadlines and portfolio activity.
Key Responsibilities
*Preparing and filing UK, EU and international trade mark applications
*Managing prosecution work including examination reports and office actions
*Handling trade mark watching and monitoring services
*Liaising with clients and overseas agents on portfolio matters
*Preparing and issuing client reports, updates and status summaries
*Managing deadlines and maintaining accurate records on IP systems
*Assisting with oppositions, renewals and recordal work
*Supporting portfolio transfers, assignments and ownership changes
*Responding to client queries in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
*Previous experience in a Trade Mark Paralegal or IP support role
*Strong understanding of UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO processes
*Confident handling of deadlines and high-volume portfolio work
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Client-facing experience desirable
*Experience with IP management systems advantageous
