Warehouse & Logistics Manager
Basildon
Monday - Friday (37.5 hours pw)
£45,000 - £50,000
The Warehouse & Logsitics Manager will oversee all operations performance across two freight forwarding warehouse faciliites. Responsible for ensuring efficient cargo handling, compliant documentation and seemless coordiantion between warehouse, transport and customs functions.
Requiring a strategic and commercially minded leader with strong international freight process knowledge and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
*Lead warehouse & logistics across two faciliites ensuring consistent service levels, SOPs and compliance
*Provide hands-on operational support during peak times
*Oversea recieving, breakdown, storage and dispatch or air, sea and road freight cargo
*Ensure correct handling (general cargo, hazardous goods, temperature controlled)
*maintain compliance with aviation security and indsutry specific regulations (IATA, HMRC, CAA)
*Monitor KPIs
*Manage inbound & Outbound transport planning including haulage scheduling, carrier relationships and last-mile delivery
*Optimise freight costs
*Oversea stock accuracy
*Lead and develop the warehouse & Logistics team
*Manage staffing levels, shift patterns, training and performance reviews
Your Experience
Proven exprience in warehouse or logistics management within Freight forwarding
Knowledge of IATA, CAA, HMRC and other regulatory frameworks
Ability to use a WMS/ERP System
MUST HAVE 5 YEARS EMPLOYMENT WITH NO GAPS due to CAA Regulations. Specific dates required for all employment in last 5 years minimum
