Job Description:
Grounds Maintenance Workers
*Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour
*Location: Sheffield City Council, S2
*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (6 months)
Sheffield City Council are looking for five full-time Grounds Maintenance Workers for a six-month contract. This role is based in Norfolk Park, Sheffield, and offers a competitive hourly rate. Ideal candidates will be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Maintain park grounds and public realms to high standards.
*Operate maintenance equipment like lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping tools.
*Perform tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
*Lift and transport heavy items and materials as needed.
*Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations.
*Work effectively within a team to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
*Report any issues or damages in public areas to supervisors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Physical fitness and ability to engage in strenuous activities.
*Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
*Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
*Ability to operate landscaping equipment (training will be provided if necessary).
*Good communication and teamwork skills.
*Working Hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am - 17.00pm
