Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Temporary Officer to support our Central Finance Business Partnering Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring smooth financial operations across the school/trust.
Key Responsibilities
*Staffing Forecast Management:

Update staffing forecasts within the Budgeting and Planning System (BPS) to support accurate financial planning.

*Monthly Staff Analysis:

Maintain and update staff analysis files on a monthly basis, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

*Payment Run Checks:

Conduct monthly payment run checks to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely processing.

*Payroll Reconciliation:

Perform monthly payroll reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

*Invoice Processing:

Check and approve supplier invoices in line with financial regulations and school policies.

*Financial Analysis:

Support expenditure and income analysis to assist budget holders and inform decision-making.

*Month-End Journals:

Prepare and post month-end journals to ensure accurate reporting.

Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (education sector experience desirable)
*Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
*Experience with budgeting or financial planning systems (BPS experience advantageous)
*Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools
*Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
