Join Leeds City Council as an Equipment Hygiene Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in the Leeds Community Equipment Service. This service is vital in supporting both adults and children by providing essential daily living and nursing equipment for use in their own homes, thereby preventing hospital admissions and supporting community living.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Dismantle equipment prior to cleaning.
*Clean and refurbish returned equipment according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
*Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to COSHH regulations.
*Perform quality checks to ensure equipment is safe and ready for re-issue.
*Maintain accurate records for audit purposes using computerised systems.
*Collaborate with warehouse and maintenance teams to manage stock and ensure equipment availability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a cleaning or hygiene maintenance role, preferably within a healthcare or community service environment.
*Familiarity with using cleaning machinery and understanding COSHH regulations.
*Basic IT skills for accurate data entry and retrieval.
*Strong organisational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics is preferred.
