Job Description:
Lab Technician
Witham, Essex
up to £28,000 including Shift Allowance
6am-1pm and 1pm-8pm rotating bi-weekly
We are recruiting for a Lab Technician to join an award-winning employer in the Witham area within the science and research industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in science who would like to build a career in a laboratory environment. Full training will be provided.
Due to the shift pattern, applicants must hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle, or live locally in Witham and not rely on public transport.
Responsibilities
*Conduct analytical testing of samples in line with ISO 17025 standards and laboratory SOPs.
*Organise and complete testing assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
*Maintain accurate records of laboratory results.
*Follow HSE, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures to ensure safe working practices.
*Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure work areas are clean and organised.
*Support continuous improvement and efficiency within the laboratory.
Requirements
*Any Science subject A-Level grade, (or equivalent experience/qualification).
*Strong communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Flexible and proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
*Customer-focused with attention to detail.
