Job Title: Head of Occupational Health
Location: Hybrid (60% onsite / 40% remote)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Occupational Health professional to lead and shape our Occupational Health service. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a well-established department, lead a small team, and make a meaningful impact on employee health, wellbeing, and organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Occupational Health team, including 2 Occupational Health Nurses and an Office Manager
*Deliver and oversee clinical management, ensuring high standards of care and compliance
*Take ownership of the department, with the autonomy to introduce new ideas and shape service delivery
*Develop and drive the organisation’s health and wellbeing strategy
*Analyse absence trends and implement proactive interventions to improve attendance and resilience
*Lead on mental health initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance support and reduce work-related stress
*Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to promote a positive health culture across the organisation
About You
*Qualified and experienced Occupational Health professional (NMC Registered)
*Proven leadership experience within an Occupational Health setting
*Strong clinical background with the ability to provide guidance and oversight
*Strategic mindset with experience in developing wellbeing initiatives and managing absence
*Passionate about improving mental health support in the workplace
*Confident working autonomously and driving service improvements
