We are working with a highly respected financial services organisation within the automotive finance sector, who are looking to appoint a Complaints Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business committed to delivering a "Best in Class" customer experience while ensuring strong regulatory compliance and fair outcomes for customers.
The Role
• Manage and resolve customer and dealer complaints across written and verbal channels within regulatory timescales
• Own cases from receipt through to final resolution, ensuring a fair and customer-focused outcome
• Handle Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and documentation requests within required deadlines
• Update and maintain complaints and contract management systems accurately and in a timely manner
• Liaise with internal teams and manufacturer customer care teams to resolve complex cases
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies at all times
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all complaints are acknowledged and progressed within set timeframes
• Issue required regulatory communications including 5-day, 28-day and 56-day letters
• Monitor and manage personal workloads and escalate risks or backlogs where necessary
• Deliver against individual KPIs, quality standards, and service level agreements
• Identify and support continuous service improvements within the team
• Respond to FOS and regulatory body requests within deadlines
• Maintain accurate case records and audit ready documentation
About You
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a complaints handling role (essential)
• Experience within automotive finance or consumer finance (essential)
• Strong understanding of FCA regulation and complaint handling frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple cases
• Confident decision maker with strong prioritisation skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in challenging situations
• Minimum A levels or equivalent required
