Interim Hard FM Manager
Based in Kent, hybrid working
Length: 3 months with possible extension
IR35 status: Inside
As Hard Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of M&E service delivery across the site. You will act as the technical authority, ensuring systems operate at peak performance while continuously improving service standards and identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the on-site engineering team to deliver high-quality Hard FM services across all M&E systems
*Monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and implement corrective actions where required
*Act as the site’s technical expert, resolving complex issues and providing specialist guidance
*Identify and deliver additional works, including preparing quotations and proposals
*Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across the contract
*Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and safe systems of work
*Support the planning and delivery of major events, ensuring maximum system uptime and resilience
*Develop team capability through coaching, training, and strong leadership
*Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor


Skills, experience and knowledge:
*A strong background in managing M&E services within complex or critical environments
*Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage engineering teams
*Excellent technical knowledge across electrical and/or mechanical building services
*A solid understanding of statutory compliance and safe systems of work (e.g. PTW, RAMS, SOPs, EOPs)
*Experience in identifying and delivering additional works and value-added services
*Relevant technical qualifications (essential)
