Audit Senior (Part-Qualified) - Media & Tech
Ambition is working with a high-quality, mid-large London accountancy firm to recruit an Audit Senior into their Media & Tech audit team.
This role is well suited to an Audit Senior who enjoys leading audits, managing junior team members, and working with dynamic, fast-growing clients across the media, technology, and digital sectors.


The Opportunity
You will take responsibility for delivering audit engagements across a varied Media & Tech client portfolio, working closely with Managers and Partners. The role offers a strong balance of technical audit work, client interaction, and team leadership, with clear progression and ongoing development support.
Audit assignments are delivered through a mix of office-based, client-site, and flexible working arrangements, depending on client needs.


Key Responsibilities
You will lead external audit engagements from planning through to completion and act as the Audit Senior on assigned audits, reporting directly to the Audit Manager. Responsibilities include planning audit assignments, completing audits in line with UK auditing standards (ISAs), and drafting financial statements, management letters, and letters of representation.
You will be responsible for supervising, coaching, and reviewing the work of audit teams of up to five staff, providing feedback and appraisals following assignments. The role involves regular communication with Managers, making recommendations to improve clients’ accounting systems and internal controls, and supporting Partners and Managers with technical queries and client discussions.
You will be expected to keep up to date with auditing and accounting standards and maintain CPD requirements. Travel to client premises will be required, with flexibility around client deadlines.


About You
This opportunity would suit someone who is ACA or ACCA part-qualified (or equivalent) and currently working in audit within a UK accountancy practice. You will have experience leading audits from planning through to completion and be confident supervising junior staff.


You will be a proactive and collaborative team player who can manage competing deadlines and work well under pressure. Strong communication skills, professional integrity, and a solid understanding of UK accounting and audit regulations are essential.


Experience with listed audits and exposure to data analytics tools would be advantageous but not essential.
