Job Description:

We offer a British educational curriculum with an international perspective that begins in Nursery and leads up to IGCSE examinations in Year 11, and culminates with the International Baccalaureate Diploma after completing Year 13. We are an inclusive school that invites children from all backgrounds and abilities to participate in the educational offerings on our diverse campus.
Founded in 1997 on an attractive, conveniently located site, with excellent facilities and access to local transportation. Today we have more than 2,400 students over a Primary School and High School campus, representing some 68 nationalities ranging from Foundation Stage to Year 13. Our state-of-the-art High School campus (next to Ekkamai BTS) opened in August 2017 giving our students the benefit of world-class teaching and facilities.
As part of the NAE family of schools, we are delighted to be able to offer some unique collaborations with world-class establishments, including the Juilliard School of Performing Arts, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and UNICEF.

Join us in creating a positive, lasting impact.
Drive innovation by bringing fresh, evidence-informed approaches to a curriculum and pedagogy in a way that combines inclusion with academic rigour; building upon a strong team culture through collaborative planning, high-impact feedback, and professional mentoring and coaching; lead by example in positively impacting lives through achieving strong outcomes but also helping students to be happy and aspire to be the best that they can be.

Inspiring Learning and Development:
As the Head of the English Faculty, you will lead the development of high-quality teaching and learning across the faculty, supporting teachers to build strong classroom cultures., adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs, abilities, and interests of each student. You will drive faculty-wide innovation by staying informed of educational research and emerging trends on current educational practices, you’ll bring fresh approaches to our curriculum and provide regular, meaningful feedback to stakeholders. Collaborative planning is central to our approach, and you’ll work closely with colleagues and Heads of Subject to design cohesive learning experiences for students and identify cross-curricular development opportunities and facilitate meaningful collaboration between colleagues and other faculties.
You will have experience of leading a large, diverse team and demonstrate a record of achieving strong outcomes. As our Head of English you are responsible for overseeing the robust collection and analysis of academic data, and guiding the English Leadership team and teacher in interpreting progress and attainment results to ensure the effective adaptation and development of responsive Schemes of Work (SoW) and assessment strategies.
English is taught to all students throughout the High School, with Key Stage 3 schemes of work broadly based on the National Curriculum, adapted to reflect both our location in South East Asia and the international nature of our students, and leading to both English Language and Literature IGCSEs in Years 10 and 11. We aim, as far as possible, to include even students with EAL needs in this, though schemes of work for some groups may be adapted and some of these students may also take IGCSE English as a Second Language in Year 11.
In Key Stage 5, all students must study English as a pathway to graduation. Students can choose to study either English Literature, English Language and Literature, English B or English: Language and Culture at Higher or Standard Level as part of their IB Diploma or IB Career-related Programme. Alternatively they may study English as a school based subject
