You will be working in the Building Services OU based in St Bartholomew’s Hospital in where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. Through collaboration and innovation, we deliver high-quality solutions that make a lasting, positive impact for people and communities.
We are currently looking for an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer who will be responsible for periodic electrical inspection and testing across the estate to ensure continued statutory compliance and operational safety. The role will support wider electrical maintenance activities including emergency lighting repairs, reactive fault finding, and minor works on systems such as access control and CCTV.
As the Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer, you will:
*Deliver periodic inspection and testing in line with current regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
*Produce high-quality, accurate test reports and certifications.
*Support audits and ensure documentation is maintained for statutory compliance.
*Support ongoing lifecycle replacement programmes where required.
*Accurate, timely and complete certification and documentation.
*Adhere to all relevant health and safety legislation and internal procedures.
We are looking for:
*Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
*City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing qualification.
*Strong experience in periodic inspection, testing and certification.
*Experience with electrical fault diagnosis and general maintenance.
*Demonstrates strong practical electrical expertise, sound judgement, and compliance with regulations.
*Ability to work safely, independently, and accurately.
