Job Description:
Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - Bury St Edmunds = to £55k
Your Role
You’ll play a key part in keeping the grain operations running smoothly — maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
What You’ll Do
*Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance
*Troubleshoot and repair production and utility equipment
*Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide technical expertise to enhance productivity
*Support new machinery installations
*Keep accurate maintenance records
*Champion safety and continuous improvement (BOPEX)
What You Bring
*Experience in industrial maintenance (e.g. grain handling, pneumatics, hydraulics)
*Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering)
*IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous
*Familiarity with safety protocols (LOTO, ATEX/DSEAR, etc.)
*Comfortable with 12-hour continental shifts
*A proactive, team-oriented mindset
*Ability to commute or relocate to Bury St Edmunds
*Own basic hand tools (they provide the rest)
