Job Description:
We are partnered with a high-growth, UK-wide infrastructure business who require a Finance Manager to strengthen its financial governance, reporting, and control environment. This role is ideal for a Chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a strong grounding in audit, compliance, and financial controls.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting & Control:
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Maintain and enhance the financial control framework, embedding best-practice governance across the finance function.
- Oversee balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation.
- Manage statutory reporting requirements and support year-end processes.
Audit, Compliance & Risk:
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring smooth audit cycles and high-quality submissions.
- Strengthen internal controls, identifying gaps and implementing improvements across financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.
- Support risk management activities, including financial risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Process Improvement & Systems:
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, and reporting.
- Support system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Champion best practice across the finance team and wider business.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA) - ideal for someone trained in a top-tier audit environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial controls.
- Proven experience in audit, compliance, or assurance roles, with a desire to move into a broader finance position.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate clearly.
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence and challenge constructively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling organisation with evolving processes.
