Are you a Maths graduate looking to gain practical classroom experience? Do you want to inspire young people to build confidence in numeracy, problem solving and analytical thinking?
Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to work across secondary schools in Durham and Sunderland. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Teaching, Educational Psychology, or further study in Education.
What you’ll be doing:
*Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths
*Building positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement, confidence and wellbeing
*Supporting students with additional needs, including SEN and SEMH
*Assisting teachers in delivering tailored support and interventions
*Monitoring student progress and communicating any concerns effectively with teaching staff
*Contributing to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
You need:
*A degree in Maths (or a closely related subject)
*Compassionate, patient and proactive approach
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Genuine interest in supporting children and young people
*Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
