Role Scope & Responsibilities
*Financial Leadership & Control
*End-to-end ownership of Financial Control and FP&A
*Full responsibility for:
*P&L
*balance sheet
*cash flow
*working capital
*Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
*Deliver clear, structured reporting to support leadership decision-making
Cash & Working Capital Ownership
*Build and manage short-term and rolling cash flow
*Take full ownership of:
*receivables
*payables
*inventory investment
*Manage supplier terms, customer collections, and liquidity risks
*Maintain oversight of banking relationships, debt, and funding requirements
Commercial & Strategic Partnership
*Act as a true partner to the CEO
*Provide independent, data-backed views on:
*margins
*pricing
*deal quality
*Support growth decisions and investment cases
*Translate financial data into clear, actionable insight
*Challenge constructively and ensure no surprises
Transformation, Systems & Process Improvement
*Improve finance processes and reporting in a fast-moving environment
*Strengthen controls across:
*management accounts
*AR / AP
*inventory and trading flows
*Support system improvements and ensure data integrity
*Build scalable processes to support growth
Team Leadership
*Lead and develop the finance function
*Set clear standards, accountability, and structure
*Work closely with an established Financial Controller and supporting team
*Build a finance function aligned to future growth

Ideal Candidate Profile
*Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
*Currently operating as:
*Group Financial Controller
*Head of Finance
*or equivalent senior finance role
*Strong understanding of:
*cash flow
*working capital
*margin and commercial drivers
*Experience in consumer, retail, wholesale, or multi-channel environments preferred
*Comfortable operating in hands-on, evolving environments
*Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence
