Orka Financial is working with a well-established business based in Basingstoke, who are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their fast-growing finance team. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a busy accounting department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant who has previous experience supporting the AP function, dealing with suppliers on a daily basis, assisting with month-end processes, and managing day-to-day accounts payable queries.
Responsibilities*Processing multi-currency purchase invoices
*Month end journals - prepayments
*Intercompany reconciliation’s
*Monitoring the AP mailbox
*Carrying out monthly supplier statement reconciliations and following up on any queries
*Dealing with telephone and email supplier queries
*Checking and processing expenses
*Assisting with VAT return completion
Requirements*Must have previous experience within an Accounts Payable role
*Experience processing multi-currency transactions is essential
*Strong knowledge of the Accounts Payable function
*Good IT skills, including Word and Excel
*Highly customer-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers
