Lead Civil Engineer – Water Industry Location: Manchester | Hybrid / Flexible Working Available
Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 (DOE)

The OpportunityWe’re looking for an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to join a growing, forward-thinking engineering consultancy delivering impactful projects across the UK water sector.
This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and play a major part in shaping the future of a busy and expanding design team.

What You’ll Be Doing*Providing technical leadership to the civil engineering design team
*Leading outline and detailed design across:
*Infrastructure & non-infrastructure projects
*Clean and wastewater schemes
*Supporting delivery of major UK water projects
*Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
*Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients
Projects You’ll Be Involved In*UMON 3 & 4 upgrades at sewage treatment works
*Clean water main replacement schemes
*CSO upgrades and storm storage solutions
*A wide range of projects across the UK water industry
What We’re Looking For*Proven experience working with regulated UK water companies (essential)
*Strong background in civil design within water/utilities projects
*Ability to lead projects and influence technical direction
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
