My client are seeking a Sales Development Representative who shares our passion for winning projects with pride and excellence.
The Role
We are looking for a tenacious, proactive Sales Development Representative. Your primary mission is to hunt for new business, identifying and engaging decision-makers within large organisations to generate high-quality appointments for the Sales Manager.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for sales who wants to learn the ropes of an emergig market. For the right candidate, this position is designed to transition into a Sales Executive (closing role) within 1–2 years, where you will eventually have your own telesales support to assist with your pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
*Proactive Prospecting: Hunt for new appointments through a multi-channel approach, including cold calling, cold emailing, and strategic LinkedIn messaging.
*Targeted Outreach: Create and systematically work through lists of Ideal Customer Profile accounts, specifically focusing on large non-domestic buildings, multi-building customers, NHS Trusts and commercial landlords.
*Lead Qualification: Research businesses, individuals, and industry trends to identify high-potential leads and ensure they meet quality criteria before scheduling meetings.
*Campaign Execution: Work closely with the Sales Manager to execute new business campaigns within set target industries.
*Data Management: Maintain accurate records, ensuring all prospect data and interaction histories are up to date.
*Conversion: Follow up on inbound leads and marketing activities to maximise every opportunity for the sales team.
*Customer Outreach: Periodically contact existing customers to understand satisfaction levels, generate case studies and explore new opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
*Proven Experience: A track record in appointment setting or telephone lead generation, ideally working with large businesses and complex decision-making units.
*Self-Starter Mindset: Highly motivated, able to work independently, and resilient when handling objections and high-volume outreach.
*Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
*Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.

*You will be targeted on the quality of appointments and resulting sales revenue, rather than just call volume. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a closing position, contribute to the development of the sales function, and play a key role in the company’s growth strategy.
