Vehicle Technician - Bedfordshire
Our client, a reputable Independent Garage in Bedford, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their professional workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician looking to advance their career within a well-established business committed to quality service and employee development.
Benefits of this Vehicle Technician role:
*Basic salary of up to £45,000, dependent on experience
*Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (no weekends)
*Long-term, stable employment maintaining national fleet contracts
*Opportunities for further training, including Hybrid/EV, Fgas, and MOT licences
*Supportive management team, led by a former technician who values career progression
*Access to additional qualifications to enhance professional expertise
Duties:
*Diagnosing faults accurately using manufacturer standards
*Servicing and repairing a variety of vehicles, mainly cars, with occasional vans
*Conducting MOTs (if MOT Licence held) and recording vehicle conditions comprehensively
*Maintaining current repair and maintenance records
*Ensure safety, reliability, and performance standards are met during all work performed
*Assist in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship
Requirements as a Vehicle Technician:
*NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
*Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a workshop environment
*Time-served Vehicle Technicians without formal qualifications are welcome to apply
*Valid MOT Licence (desired but not essential)
*Own tools necessary for the role
*Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
*Professional attitude and team-oriented approach
