Service Administrator - Horsham | £30,000 + Bonus + Progression within Hire
We’re recruiting for a Service Administrator to join a busy and well-established hire operation in Horsham. This role is ideal for someone currently working within a plant hire, tool hire, or equipment hire business who understands the pace of a hire desk or service environment.
If you’ve worked as a Hire Controller, Service Controller, or in a hire-based admin role, this is a great opportunity to step into a structured position with clear progression.

Key Responsibilities:
In this Service Administrator role, you’ll support the smooth running of both hire and service operations:
*Supporting the hire desk and service team with daily coordination tasks
*Scheduling equipment servicing, maintenance, and availability
*Acting as a key point of contact for engineers, drivers, and customers
*Processing hire contracts, job sheets, and service documentation
*Monitoring equipment availability and updating internal systems
*Handling incoming calls and job-related queries
*Tracking job progress to ensure deadlines are met
*Raising purchase orders and supporting invoicing processes
What we’re looking for:
This Service Administrator role requires experience within a hire or similar operational environment:
*Previous experience within plant hire, tool hire, powered access, or equipment hire
*Experience as a Hire Controller, Service Controller, or similar coordination/admin role
*Understanding of scheduling, job allocation, or service coordination
*Confident communicator with both customers and operational teams
*Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*Comfortable using systems to track jobs, equipment, or service records
