Your new company
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join a responsive maintenance team working for a well-established social housing provider. This temporary contract involves carrying out day-to-day repairs in occupied properties, ensuring work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard.The successful candidate must be a joiner by trade, with the ability to undertake a range of associated maintenance tasks as required.

Your new role
*Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties.
*Complete all aspects of carpentry and joinery, including:*Internal and external door repairs
*Lock changes and ironmongery
*Skirting, architraves, and framework
*Kitchen unit repairs and adjustments

*Undertake additional multi-trade tasks such as:*Patch plastering
*Basic plumbing
*Minor tiling
*Making good after works

*Work professionally and respectfully in occupied homes, maintaining excellent customer service.
*Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
*Use PDA or job sheets to record work completed and materials used.
*Travel between properties across North Leicestershire, South Derbyshire, and South Nottinghamshire.


What you’ll need to succeed
*Qualified Joiner / Carpenter (NVQ, City & Guilds or time-served).
*Strong experience in responsive maintenance within occupied properties.
*Ability to carry out additional multi-trade tasks confidently.
*Full UK driving licence.
*Own tools and transport.
*Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
*Strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices.
*Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
