Up to £45,000 per annum DOEJoin a dynamic Finance Team in Stoke-on-Trent.Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their established and fast-paced finance team in the motor industry. Reporting directly to the dealership accountant, this role plays a key part in supporting financial operations across sales and service departments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with motor dealership finance experience who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys responsibility and variety.
Key Responsibilities*Daily bank reconciliations and weekly cash-flow forecasting
*Production of weekly and monthly management reports
*Vehicle and stock monthly write-downs
*Monthly accruals and profit reconciliation
*Maintenance of payables and receivables ledgers
*Management and upkeep of the fixed assets register
*General ledger maintenance
*Providing ad-hoc finance support to other dealerships when required
About You*Minimum 18 months’ experience in a dealership finance role (highly desirable)
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
*Proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented
*Strong reporting and reconciliation skills
*Working knowledge of Kerridge and ADP Accounts software is advantageous
