Principal Mechanical Engineer – Water Sector Manchester | Hybrid / Flexible Working
Up to £80,000 (Permanent)
The OpportunityIf you’re a Principal Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in the UK water industry, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing consultancy with a secure pipeline of work and real influence on projects.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-value infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, while working within a supportive, technically strong team that genuinely values your expertise.
What You’ll Be Doing*Leading mechanical design delivery across a range of water projects
*Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineers within the team
*Working on both infra & non-infra schemes
*Collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders
*Supporting project delivery from concept through to detailed design
Projects You’ll Be Involved In*Sewage treatment works upgrades
*UMON 3 & 4 monitoring projects
*CSO upgrades and storm storage schemes
*Clean and waste water infrastructure improvements
What We’re Looking For Significant experience within the UK regulated water industry
Strong background in mechanical design within utilities/infrastructure
Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers
Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
The PackagePermanent:
*Up to £80,000 salary (DOE)
*Pension & benefits package
*Ongoing training and career development
Working Arrangements*Ideally based from Manchester
*Flexible hybrid or remote working available for the right candidate
*Occasional site visits as required
