Assistant Accountant
Bracknell - Study Support


Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an active ACCA/CIMA studier who is keen to continue their professional qualification - full study support is offered as part of the role.
The position will play a key part in delivering accurate financial and stock reporting, supporting month-end processes, and providing insight to commercial and operational decision-making. You’ll suit this role if you are detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working to regular reporting deadlines while handling ad-hoc requests.


Key Responsibilities:
*Assist with overhead analysis and cost control
*Own the expenses process and ensure timely payment
*Prepare weekly flash reporting for senior management
*Support month-end close, including stock, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
*Produce daily gross profit and stock reconciliation reports
*Contribute to a culture of accuracy, ownership and continuous improvement


About You:
*Actively studying ACCA or CIMA and committed to continuing your studies
*Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
*Confident Excel user with the ability to analyse and present data clearly
*Effective communicator able to work with stakeholders at all levels
*Proactive self-starter who performs well under pressure


Desirable:
*Experience in a multi-site, retail or e-commerce environment
*Exposure to Xero or similar accounting systems
