CNC Miller (4 & 5 Axis) – Day Shift

Salary: £17.00 – £19.00 per hour (depending on experience)
CNC Miller - Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our team, specialising in 4 and 5 axis machining. The successful candidate will be confident in programming from scratch and working with Fanuc and Haas control systems. This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled machinist who can take ownership of jobs from drawing to finished component.
CNC Miller - Key Responsibilities*Programming CNC milling machines from scratch using Fanuc and/or Haas controls
*Setting and operating 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines
*Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
*Selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds
*Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
*Performing first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
*Editing and optimising existing programs for efficiency
*Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
CNC Miller - Requirements*Proven experience as a CNC Miller (4 & 5 axis)
*Strong ability to programme from scratch (essential)
*Experience with Fanuc and/or Haas controls
*Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
*Knowledge of machining various materials (e.g. aluminium, stainless steel, alloys)
*High attention to detail and quality standards
*Self-motivated and able to work independently
