Our client, a reputable and established commercial vehicle dealership in Southampton, Hampshire, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their dynamic team. Duties as an HGV Technician:
*Receiving and reviewing job cards assigned by the workshop controller
*Conducting routine maintenance and diagnosing repairs on large commercial vehicles
*Testing vehicles and system components using advanced diagnostic tools
*Examining vehicles for damage or faults; performing necessary repairs or replacements
*Relining, adjusting, and replacing brakes and other vital vehicle systems
*Servicing air conditioning, electrical, heating, and cooling systems
*Identifying faults, sourcing parts, and ensuring repair quality standards are met
*Conducting inspections and testing to evaluate vehicle safety and performance
Requirements:
*NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in HGV repair, Vehicle Maintenance, or a related field
*Proven experience working within a commercial vehicle environment
*Strong technical knowledge, with problem-solving capabilities
*Proactive and adaptable team player with a ’can-do’ attitude
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Leadership qualities and a customer-focused approach
