Job Description:
Job Title: Head of Accounts Payable
Location: Anglesey (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Salary: £65,000 + Bonus
The Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing a high-volume Accounts Payable function across multiple business units. Based at the group’s head office, you will lead the AP team, ensure efficient end-to-end processes, and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead, manage, and develop the Accounts Payable team, including performance management and ongoing training
*Oversee the full AP cycle, ensuring accurate invoice processing and timely supplier payments
*Drive continuous improvement across procure-to-pay processes, increasing efficiency and reducing manual intervention
*Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and system providers
*Monitor and report on key metrics such as KPIs, cash flow forecasting, and DPO
*Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Commercial, and IT teams to optimise processes
*Support month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial controls
*Lead or contribute to projects focused on process improvement and system enhancements
Candidate Profile
*Proven experience leading an Accounts Payable function or similar finance team
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
*Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Process-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving
*Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving structures
