Job Description:
We’re Hiring: IT Manager
Head Office, Selby
At GBUK, we’re continuing to grow, and with that, comes the need for strong, forward-thinking infrastructure to support our people, customers, and future ambitions.
We’re looking for an IT Manager who can take ownership of our group-wide IT function, driving both operational excellence and strategic development across our business.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how IT enables the business; leading projects, strengthening cyber security, and ensuring our systems evolve alongside our growth.
From managing infrastructure across multiple sites to delivering future-focused IT strategy, this is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.
What you’ll be doing
*Leading IT across GBUK, ensuring a reliable and efficient environment
*Driving strategic IT projects that support business growth
*Managing and developing relationships with third-party IT service providers
*Overseeing network, server, and cloud-based infrastructure
*Strengthening cyber security and delivering staff training
*Developing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
*Managing IT budgets, forecasting, and cost control
*Creating and embedding IT policies, processes, and best practice
*Supporting, managing and developing your team
*Providing guidance to your direct reports on day-to-day and escalated issues
What we’re looking for
*Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, end-user environments)
*A presence in the office, just outside Selby, at least 3 days per week
*Experience across on-premise and cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint)
*Proven track record of delivering IT projects
*Experience working with Managed Service Providers
*Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders across the business
*A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
It would be great if you also have…
*Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment
*Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central or MS SQL
*Experience with Power Apps or asset management systems
*Understanding of GDPR and data security best practices
