An established and growing marine insurer is looking to expand their distribution with the addition of a Business Development Executive. You will be working with existing Broker partners as well as developing new relationships.
You will working with an expanding portfolio across the UK and Europe, to include Hull & Machinery, P&I, Yachts, and Marine Trades.
This is a fully remote role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of business growth!
The Role
*This is a business development-focused position centred on growing a network of wholesale brokers and introducing agents across the UK
*You’ll be responsible for building strong, long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities to expand business within marine insurance.
*The role involves regular travel for face-to-face meetings, alongside virtual engagement to maintain consistent contact
*With full support from an experienced internal team handling underwriting, broking, and administration, your focus will be purely on generating and developing business.
Experience Needed
*Proven background in business development, sales, or a production-led role
*Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
*Commercially minded with a proactive, results-driven approach
*Confident communicator, both in person and over the phone
*Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
*Competent using Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word
Marine insurance experience is beneficial but not essential-candidates from a different class of business, looking to specialise are encouraged to apply.
