Interim Financial Controller (6–9 months)
£85,000 – £90,000 (pro rata)

Wade Macdonald are currently partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a 6–9 month assignment.
This is a key role within the finance function, responsible for leading financial control and management accounting, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reporting, and supporting senior stakeholders with high-quality financial insight.
The Role

Reporting into the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the financial control environment and lead a small team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across the business. Responsibilities will include:
*Leading month-end and quarter-end close processes
*Ensuring balance sheet integrity and reviewing reconciliations
*Overseeing financial reporting, including board-level outputs
*Managing the audit process and liaising with external auditors
*Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital management
*Reviewing regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
*Driving process improvements to enhance controls and efficiency
*Leading, mentoring, and developing a small finance team
The Candidate
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA)
*Strong technical accounting knowledge (FRS 102 / IFRS)
*Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role
*Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
*Experience managing audits and working in a controlled environment
*Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to hit the ground running
