Job Title:

Location:
Handforth, Cheshire - (Hybrid)
Typically, 3 days in the office - Flexibility around core hours (10am - 4pm)

Package Details:
The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience & qualifications.

Purpose of the role:
The Senior Client Manager plays a key role in delivering high-quality financial planning support, combining technical expertise with strong client relationship management.
You will work closely with Financial Planners while taking ownership of your own client bank, ensuring clients receive a seamless, proactive and personalised service. The role is focused on supporting the delivery of complex financial strategies, maintaining long-term client relationships and contributing to consistently high standards across the business.
This is a position suited to someone who enjoys both the technical side of financial planning and being directly involved with clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Attend client meetings alongside Financial Planners, taking detailed and accurate meeting notes to capture client objectives and requirements
*Manage and take ownership of a bank of clients, supporting relationships and ensuring a high level of ongoing service
*Support the delivery of complex financial planning strategies and solutions
*Work collaboratively with Financial Planners to understand client circumstances and help shape appropriate recommendations
*Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact
*Conduct research and analysis of financial products and solutions suitable for each client’s needs
*Prepare clear and compliant recommendation reports, investment strategies and client documentation
*Carry out regular portfolio reviews and ensure client records are maintained accurately and up to date
*Ensure all agreed recommendations are implemented efficiently and within appropriate timescales
*Take a proactive approach to managing workload, prioritising tasks and maintaining control of your client bank
*Act as a technical point of reference within the team, supporting and mentoring more junior colleagues
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial planning, products, and regulatory requirements
*Work in line with Consumer Duty principles to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
*Effectively use internal systems and financial planning tools to support the delivery of advice and client service
The Ideal Employee:
*Experience dealing with high-net-worth / complex clients
*Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments & planning
*Ability to build rapport quickly and manage relationships confidently
*Someone proactive, organised, and comfortable working at pace
This role suits someone who enjoys the client side of paraplanning, not someone who wants to purely sit in the background.
Experience required:
*Around 5+ years’ experience in financial planning / paraplanning
Qualifications required:
*Level 4 Diploma qualified (minimum)
*Ideally working towards Chartered (or already Chartered)
