Bid Writer
A leading UK infrastructure and utilities services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to join its busy Business Development function. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven bid professional to play a key role in securing work across a range of utilities and infrastructure sectors.
The role
As Bid Writer, you will support the end-to-end delivery of high-quality tender submissions, working closely with internal stakeholders across technical, operational and commercial teams. You will be instrumental in coordinating inputs, shaping compelling written responses and ensuring that all submissions are accurate, compliant and professionally presented.

Key responsibilities include:
*Interpreting tender and PQQ requirements, briefing contributors and managing internal programmes to meet submission deadlines
*Writing, editing and refining bid content including questionnaires, standard responses, case studies and supporting documentation
*Coordinating technical and commercial inputs from subject matter experts, ensuring consistency, clarity and alignment with win themes
*Managing formatting, copy-checking, proof-reading and final production of submission documents using approved templates
*Administering online tender portals and maintaining accurate bid and CRM records, alongside general bid team support activities
*Capturing lessons learned from tender outcomes to support continuous improvement of bid quality and risk management
*Contributing to the development and enhancement of templates, standard materials and wider business development collateral
About you
You will have demonstrated experience producing successful bids, within construction, infrastructure, industrial or utilities environments. A working knowledge of public sector and regulated utilities procurement processes is essential, with exposure to UK power and/or water markets.
You will also bring:
*Excellent written communication skills with a strong grasp of grammar, structure and tone
*Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
*High attention to detail and strong document presentation capabilities
*Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
*A proactive, organised and collaborative approach, with the confidence to engage at all levels of the business
*A creative eye for producing clear, professional and visually engaging submission
