Community Support Worker - Learning Disabilities

Job Description:
We are looking for Support Workers with Learning Disabilities and Autism Expperience to carry out the following duties:
*To work as part of a team providing a high quality day care services for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour which enables service users to live with a maximum of choice and independence, participating in a wide range of community based activities, designed to meet their individual need.
* To be responsible for the wellbeing of service users, privacy and choice of how they spend their day and to treat all clients, equally and with respect irrespective of gender, race ethnicity or age giving adequate support to maximise their dignity, independence,
* To support service users using a person centred approach. This will include the implementation of their Support Plans in partnership with the service user, Care Managers and other relevant parties
* To be involved in a range of development activities which contribute to the further development of a socially inclusive service model that enable service users to access mainstream facilities/activities in their local community
* To build up particular expertise in one or two key areas, for example, employment, volunteering, sports, leisure and healthy living, education, knowledge of cultural and faith resources
