Performing Arts Teacher (Music Specialist)Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £170–£250 per day
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:25am – 3:25pm
About the RoleWe are seeking an inspiring and ambitious Performing Arts Teacher with a specialism in Music to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner ready to contribute to, and potentially lead, a dynamic Performing Arts department.
You will play a key role in delivering a rich and engaging curriculum, helping students develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. With a passion for Music and the wider Performing Arts, you will bring energy, vision, and a commitment to excellence in both teaching and collaboration.
What We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will:
*Have a strong background in Music education, with the ability to teach across Key Stages
*Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and strong subject knowledge
*Have experience contributing to or supporting a Performing Arts department
*Be confident in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
*Show a proven ability to secure positive student outcomes
*Possess strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
*Be committed to inclusion, diversity, and high-quality opportunities for all students
Experience in coaching, mentoring, or supporting colleagues would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver high-quality Music and Performing Arts lessons
*Contribute to the development and refinement of the Performing Arts curriculum
*Monitor and assess student progress to ensure strong outcomes
*Support collaborative planning and departmental initiatives
*Contribute to enrichment opportunities, including performances and events
*Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and classroom management
