Job Description:
Canaccord Genuity is looking for a high-energy, commercially minded Marketing and Events Associate to join our London team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in shaping our brand, accelerating client engagement, and delivering high-impact marketing initiatives within a global financial services firm.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and with our US Marketing team, gaining broad exposure across brand, digital, content, events and client acquisition in a fast-moving, regulated environment.
Your role
Marketing Strategy and Planning:
*Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
*Design multi-channel marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and support client retention and acquisition across Equities, Trading, Quest and Advisory services.
*Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform the overall strategy.
Brand Management:
*Liaise closely with the US Marketing Team to ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all channels and materials.
*Contribute to the periodic review and own the update and maintenance of brand guidelines. Ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders execute and adhere to these guidelines accordingly.
*Build and maintain the company’s reputation as a trusted provider of capital markets services.
*Oversee the production of high-quality, compliant marketing collateral tailored to target audiences.
Content Creation and Thought Leadership:
*Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues creating compelling content, with the aim of positioning the company as a thought leader in the respective sectors.
*Ability to use Adobe Creative cloud and Microsoft PowerPoint to create content including deal lucites/tombstones, social media content, design of invitations, staff and event photography and moving media.
*Collaborate with internal teams to produce insights and analysis on market trends.
*Manage content distribution through digital and traditional channels.
Digital Marketing and Analytics:
*Oversee the company’s digital presence in conjunction with the US marketing team, SEO, social media, and email marketing campaigns via CRM.
*Liaise with the US Marketing team to leverage data analytics tools in order to measure campaign performance and refine marketing strategies.
*Implement lead generation strategies and nurture prospects through the marketing funnel.
Client Engagement:
*Work with relevant business/sector heads to help plan and execute client events, webinars, and industry conferences to deepen CGL’s sector ecosystem involvement, reputation and enhance the overall company’s brand recognition that is aligned with the overall marketing strategy
*Develop targeted marketing materials for client pitches and presentations.
*Collaborate with the Advisory, Equities, Trading and Quest teams to align marketing efforts with client needs.
*Build out client testimonials and develop client relationships to showcase success stories.
*Manage DealCloud, support with training and reinforce utilisation of the CRM to enhance communication.
Client Events
*Collaborate closely with the European Evens Manager to plan, coordinate and support the corporate events across the organisation.
*Manage company sponsorships maximising associated benefits to elevate brand visibility and engagement.
*Research and propose cost effective event ideas for consideration and approval.
*Oversee allocated event budget, ensuring expenditure remains within approved limits.
*Liaise with colleagues across the company to ensure events are adequately promoted across the business divisions.
*Attend events as required. Flexibility is key to accommodate occasional out-of-hour commitments.
Regulatory Compliance:
*Ensure all marketing activities comply with FCA regulations and industry standards.
*Understand the risk implications of client entertainment and work within the Company’s set parameters.
*Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to review and approve marketing materials.
Our ideal candidate
*2-3 years of marketing experience, ideally in financial services
*Excellent Adobe Cloud, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Skills.
*Good knowledge of CRM
*Experience using Google Analytics and LinkedIn Ad Manager for data analysis and reporting.
*Experience implementing and tracking digital marketing campaigns.
*Experience of social media management.
*Experience of creating email newsletters
*Critical and independent thinker/analytical/logical and reasoned.
*Excellent attention to detail.
*Excellent written & spoken English.
