Job Description:
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Assembler to join a well-established manufacturing environment in Ross-on-Wye. This is a varied position, predominantly focused on mechanical assembly, with some involvement in electrical and soldering work.
The role involves assembling a range of precision products, working to defined processes and quality standards. It would suit someone who enjoys hands-on manufacturing and working across different parts of the assembly function.
Key Responsibilities
*Mechanical assembly of a range of precision-engineered products
*Assembly work across multiple product types, requiring flexibility and adaptability
*Carrying out soldering tasks, including fine-detail work and fibre optic cables
*Electrical/mechanical sub-assembly where required
*Inspecting work to ensure it meets quality and specification standards
*Identifying and reporting defects
*Working across a cross-section of the manufacturing area to support production needs
*Following work instructions, drawings and quality procedures
Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in mechanical assembly
*Some exposure to electrical assembly or soldering
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision components
*Comfortable carrying out inspection and defect identification
*Able to work across different tasks and product lines
*Good manual dexterity and ability to follow instructions accurately
