Credit Analyst - Assistant Manager
£40000 - £45000 + bonus + benefits
City, London | Hybrid – 4 days in office
A well-established London SME Bank is seeking an Assistant Manager – Credit to join their City office on a hybrid basis.
The Role
This is a hands-on credit appraisal role supporting corporate lending activity, with responsibility for:
*Analysing credit proposals.
*Timely completion of reviews/renewals as Appraiser, including obtaining risk sign off from the Risk Department.
*Conducting due diligence including ensuring compliance with KYC norms.
*Obtain and verify the World Check reports of the borrower / legal & valuation reports of properties offered as Primary/Collateral securities.
*Supporting renewals and reviews,
*Assisting with ongoing credit monitoring.
*Preparation of Sanction letter and ensure that all the Terms & Conditions of sanction have been incorporated therein.
*Periodic review of Financial Statements/Compliance Certificate/Other relevant document for ongoing credit monitoring.
*Rectifying irregularities pertaining to pre-sanction pointed out in various Audit reports.#
*Attending to the credit related correspondence with internal and external agencies.
*Maintenance of proper credit related MIS including loan master file maintenance, LGD, etc.
*Any other job/task relating to dispensation or administration of credit or any other specific task of any nature arising out of business or administrative necessities.
Key requirements:
*At least 3 years’ experience in Credit analysis and appraisal experience in corporate lending
*Strong experience in the appraisal and assessment of credit proposals for medium to large corporates.
*Strong due diligence, KYC, and proposal assessment background.
*Experience with reviews, renewals, and post-sanction monitoring.
*Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills.
