We’re working with an established organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its internal technology and data capabilities. As part of that growth, they’re looking to appoint a Data Platform Product Owner to take ownership of a business-critical platform and help shape its long-term direction.

THE DATA PLATFORM PRODUCT OWNER ROLE:
This is a key role sitting at the centre of product, engineering and business change. You’ll own the roadmap and backlog for an internal Data Platform built on Databricks and Microsoft Azure, translating business requirements into a clear, prioritised delivery plan.
You’ll work closely with engineering teams, architects and wider business stakeholders to drive the delivery of scalable, well-governed data services. The position will suit someone comfortable working across roadmap planning, sprint activity, stakeholder engagement, governance, KPI tracking and platform lifecycle ownership.
You’ll also play a big part in helping shape delivery frameworks, improving platform operations and ensuring the environment meets expectations around reliability, security, compliance and data quality.
DATA PLATFORM PRODUCT OWNER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Proven experience in Product Management / Product Ownership within data, analytics or integration environments
* Strong knowledge of modern data architectures including Lakehouse, medallion and API-driven models
* Experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks
* Strong understanding of data pipelines, integration services and analytics-enabling datasets
* Agile delivery experience including backlog ownership, sprint planning and roadmap management
* Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence without direct authority
* Solid grounding in data governance, data quality, lineage and compliance
* Confident communicator able to translate technical complexity into clear business language
