Job Description:
Secondary SEND Teacher (English, Maths or Science)
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (Monday - Friday, 08:15-16:00)
Are you a dedicated educator driven by the belief that every learner deserves a pathway to independence? We are seeking three specialist Secondary SEND Teachers (English, Maths, and Science) to join our inclusive education community, specifically working with pupils across KS3 and KS4 with a spectrum of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
These roles are about more than classroom delivery; you will be the architect of your students’ success. You will deliver high-quality, personalised learning for pupils with complex profiles, ensuring that core subject knowledge is seamlessly integrated with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory support. Through structured, nurture-informed practice, you will prepare our young people for the world beyond the school gates.
Benefits:
*Access to comprehensive induction and ongoing training in SEN awareness, first aid, and safeguarding.
*Join a team driven by a shared purpose and continuous improvement within an expanding network.
*Enjoy a term-time working pattern with competitive holiday pay.
*Opportunities for advancement across our growing transport and care divisions.
Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver subject-specific programmes (English, Maths, or Science) aligned to EHCP outcomes and individual starting points.
*Create a calm, structured, and trauma-informed environment using consistent routines and visual supports.
* Lead pupils through functional skills and accredited learning pathways at KS3/KS4, tracking progress against academic and independence milestones.
*Work closely with support staff, therapists, and multi-agency professionals to deliver integrated, child-centred support.
*Act as a key contributor to Annual Reviews and EHCP processes, ensuring every "small win" is celebrated and recorded.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised degree, with evidence of ongoing professional development in SEND or secondary practice.
*Proven experience teaching or supporting pupils in KS3/KS4, with a track record of adapting teaching for sensory, SEMH, and communication needs.
*Strong understanding of EHCP frameworks, IEP implementation, and positive behaviour support.
* The ability to simplify complex concepts and engage learners who may face significant barriers to education.
Even if you don’t meet every single criterion listed, if you are a resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting students and a willingness to learn, we would still love to hear from you.
