School Medical & First Aid Lead - Secondary School in Tower Hamlets
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical & First Aid Lead to join our team at a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a vital role supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our students, particularly those with additional and complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Coordinating and overseeing all medical needs within the school
*Maintaining accurate student health records and care plans
*Managing and monitoring medication on-site, liaising with parents/carers as needed
*Acting as the lead first aider and responding to medical emergencies
*Ensuring first aid provision across the school, including staff training and equipment checks
*Supporting students with complex or ongoing health conditions
*Working closely with the school nurse, safeguarding team, and external professionals
*Organising medical room provision and supporting health-related initiatives
Requirements:
*First aid qualification (or willingness to train)
*Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
*Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergencies
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
