Primary SEND Teacher
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (Monday - Friday, 08:15-16:00)

We are seeking a Primary SEND Teacher to join our inclusive education community, specifically working with pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a spectrum of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This role is about more than classroom delivery; it is about being the architect of a child’s success. You will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong focus on phonics, reading, and maths, while embedding communication and emotional regulation into every part of the school day to prepare pupils for their transition to KS3.

Responsibilities:


*Design and review learning programmes aligned to EHCP outcomes, adapting environment and pace to meet diverse SEND profiles.

*Create a calm, structured learning environment using consistent routines, visual supports, and nurture-informed practice.
*Identify barriers to learning and maintain detailed records of progress, using data to inform precise next steps for academic and personal development.
*Work closely with therapists (SaLT, OT) and support staff to ensure communication and regulation strategies are implemented consistently.
* Act as a key contributor to Annual Reviews and EHCP processes, working in partnership with parents and carers to celebrate every "small win."
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised degree, with evidence of ongoing professional development.

*Proven track record in KS1/KS2, adapting teaching for sensory, communication, SEMH, and cognitive needs.
*Strong understanding of positive behaviour support, trauma-informed practice, and EHCP frameworks.
*Ability to write high-quality IEPs and communicate professionally with families and multi-agency professionals.
*(Desirable): Training in AAC, phonics interventions, or specialist approaches related to ASD and complex needs.
