Job Description:
Talent Acquisition Director - Series A SaaS Scale Up - Manchester
Harmonic are excited to be working with a high-growth B2B SaaS scale-up on the search for their next Talent Acquisition Director during a new growth phase. Delivering a cloud-based platform that enables brands, retailers, and distributors to centralise, enrich, govern, and distribute complex product information and digital assets across multiple channels, our client has become one of the most reputable organisations in their space.
The Business:
Headquartered in Manchester with an expanding international presence (including in North America), the business serves a growing base of mid-market and enterprise customers across retail, manufacturing, and distribution. Their platform plays a critical role in enabling digital commerce, omnichannel operations, and scalable product data management for customers operating at global scale.
The company operates a subscription-based recurring revenue model with strong gross margins and high customer retention. The business has scaled to approximately 80+ employees (with continued growth planned) and supports 150+ customers globally.
Since inception in the mid 2010s, annual revenues have grown impressively year on year, ARR now in excess of £13m. The business is also backed by institutional venture investors, having raised £8m+ across multiple funding rounds. The company is now entering its next phase of growth, focused on operational scale, international expansion, and long-term value creation.
The Role:
As the Talent Acquisition Director, you will have a unique opportunity to be a key player in building one of the greatest brands within SaaS. By providing you with the ownership of the whole recruitment process, there will be a fantastic environment in which to constantly be pushed out of your comfort zone to become a true expert within the function. Alongside operational experience in a scale-up where both your work and the results are highly tangible and matters to the business, you will also work closely with the CEO on future recruiting strategy.
Duties:
*Develop and implement a progressive talent acquisition strategy aligned to the company’s commercial objectives
*Partner closely with Executive and Senior Leadership to anticipate capability gaps, particularly in AI, data, digital transformation and emerging technologies
*Build workforce models that support scalable growth
*Act as a strategic advisor to the business, confidently challenging hiring assumptions
*Identify skill shortages, reskilling opportunities, and build vs. buy decisions to support AI innovation and automation objectives.
*Partner with Learning & Development to drive targeted upskilling programmes that enhance AI fluency and digital capability across the workforce.
*Ensure hiring strategies prioritise scarce AI talent while balancing cost control and long-term sustainability
*Build strong local recruitment partnerships and employer brand presence within key offshore markets.
*Oversee and manage the complete recruitment lifecycle across all functions and geographies
*Leverage innovative sourcing strategies and ensure a seamless, high-quality candidate experience.
*Drive employer branding initiatives across digital channels, industry networks, and talent communities.
*Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing recruitment team focused on delivery excellence and continuous improvement.
What we need to see (essential):
*Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
*Confident working at Executive level; comfortable challenging the business constructively and assertively.
*Highly analytical with strong capability in workforce data interpretation and reporting.
What we need to see (bonus):
*Previous SaaS experience
*Scale up journey background
Salary: £80k - £110k bonus + potential LTIP
Location: Central Manchester (flexible hybrid working policy)
