Job Description:
We’re working with a long-established, family-owned distribution and services business with around £5m turnover, looking to appoint a confident Credit Controller to join their close-knit finance team.
This is a hands-on role with full ownership of the sales ledger, sitting at the heart of a stable business with strong customer relationships and excellent staff retention.
The role
*Full ownership of the sales ledger
*Raising and processing sales orders
*Posting payments including BACS, card and cash
*Chasing overdue debt and managing aged balances
*Building relationships with customers and resolving queries
*Monitoring credit limits and supporting credit checks
*Escalating debt where required via external partners
*Supporting wider accounts administration when needed
What we’re looking for
*Previous experience in a Credit Control role
*Confident communicator who is comfortable picking up the phone
*Able to build rapport and manage customer relationships effectively
*Organised, detail focused and proactive
*Someone who takes ownership and gets things done

*22 days holiday plus bank holidays

*38 hours per week - Monday to Thursday: 7:45am - 3:45pm, Friday: 7:45am - 2:15pm
*Early finish every Friday
*Stable business with very low staff turnover
