Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant
Location: Reading
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
An established and growing environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join their team in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to take the next step in their career, working on a wide range of projects across the UK.
The Role:
You will play a key role in delivering geoenvironmental projects from initial site assessment through to remediation and validation. The position offers a mix of technical delivery, project management, and client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing and delivering Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations
*Interpreting environmental and geotechnical data and preparing technical reports
*Designing and overseeing remediation strategies
*Liaising with clients, regulators, and subcontractors
*Mentoring junior team members
*Supporting business development and project bidding where required
Requirements:
*Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
*Proven experience in a geoenvironmental consultancy role
*Strong report writing and project management skills
*Good understanding of UK contaminated land legislation and guidance
*Experience supervising site investigations
*Full UK driving licence
